We are now in Mars 2026 and the blog needs an update. After being occupied with renovating parts of our house for a long time, from autumn 2023 there was time again to continue building on Finstadbru. I have concentrated on the area by the Kassefabrikken in what is west in reality. Here are two new sections that during autumn 2023 have received tracks and a terrain base in 50mm styrofoam sheets. I have added a drainage channel with "water" along the side track. Then I have made a small slope at the back. This will have a dense pine forest with fairly straight trunks. In reality it is completely flat here, but the model needs some height differences and here it fit well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 In the summer of 2024 I concentrated on making trees for this part of the Finstad module. I Found a method for making pine trees and in the end of the summer I had 50 ready. I also made some generic decidious trees. 2025

I 2025 I have built the sawmill, the largest building on the station area.  It will also here have a travers inside that can hold three empty and three loaded wagons. A siding lead into the unloading room. Entrance into the room is enabled by two sliding doors that opens and closes by hidden servos. On the other end there are also two sliding doors operated by hidden servos. On the side there is a silo for sawdust. I have decided to lead a rail siding under this for loading wagons. Good for the operation varieties in FREMO but not according to the prototype. This building is not yet built.
